Building on the success of the previous year, the UFVAC Bakbakan 2023 Tournament brought the national competition to the west coast of Canada.

Held on August 5–6, 2023, the tournament took place at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Vancouver, British Columbia, a world-class venue originally built for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The event featured 41 participating teams, making it one of the largest Filipino volleyball tournaments in Canada. Teams from different provinces traveled to compete, represent their communities, and celebrate the growing Filipino volleyball movement nationwide.

Bakbakan 2023 was supported by key community partners including Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport and Mylene & Associates Real Estate, whose contributions helped make the event a success.

The tournament further strengthened connections among Filipino volleyball organizations and highlighted the continued growth of UFVAC’s national competitions.
